YEAR Competition won 2025
Together with Kullegaard Architects, we won the competition for Region Zealand’s new pharmaceutical supply in Køge.
The landscape around the future building is based on the open character and functional needs of the site – and transformed into a robust, technical landscape with a clear aesthetic approach.
The outdoor areas are organized in a simple and logical structure where rainwater is managed locally through an integrated SUDS system. The water is delayed and purified in nearby wetlands, which also serve as valuable habitats for flora and fauna.
It balances function, operation and aesthetics in a coherent landscape that supports the building’s operation and creates a new green value.
To the south and east, the area is framed by a calm and green landscape – a contrasting setting with a focus on the rhythm of nature and a sensory break in the technical environment.
